The idea of "inner demons" creates a plethora if imagery in my mind, as does the idea that they live in a psychological "archive" where we file past versions of self. To explore this, fields of color were added to decades-old self-portraits to create a visual distraction to buffer the experience of viewing myself at a period in my life when my demons ran amok.
